One of the more interesting belly dancing
shows that I have attended recently is called
Punk RAQ. It's a unique form of belly dancing,
combining the dancing with a gothic/punk theme.
The show lasted four hours, and I found it very
entertaining. All of the dancers were excellent,
and I especially enjoyed the performances by the
members of Oojam (videos of which are included
below). (I don't normally create videos of
performances, but the members of Oojam are all
friends and the videos are a gift for them).
The featured acts were: Almase Arbesque,
Odalesque Dance Company, Sashi Ascend Tribal
Dance, Maary, Sabra & Red, Blue Damsel, Slept So
Long, Politti Ashcraft, Khalida, Lella Alika,
Eclipse, Tempest, Steven Eggers, Tamia, Rheo,
Tamara, Jahan, Najila, Marjahani and Tahira
