The San Luis Obispo Faire is a wonderful
"little" faire. It is held in one of the most
scenic locations in California, in the midst of
rolling hills and trees, and has some energetic
and interesting performers.
I like this faire and look forward to it
every year, in spite of the four hour drive from
my place.
This faire has a relaxed, playful attitude.
The performers are having fun and it is obvious.
There are lots of good acts, including Fowl
Tails and the Bawdy Juggler, and a bally dancing
show. There are also hundreds of vendors selling
everything faire-related that you can imagine.
There is a court with a queen and nobles, with a
constant show pulling the whole faire together
in a consistent theme.
